Established in 1990, Camp Delafield was the first program conducted by DII. Camp Delafield provides both a rigorous academic program and a diverse arts and recreational program with learning opportunities to strengthen organization, gross and fine motor skills.

Camp Delafield provides:

  • Intense daily academic remediation
  • Stimulating field trips
  • Great summer fun
  • Chances to make new friends

Camp Delafield’s approach is to teach the whole child:

  • Academics
  • Self-esteem
  • Social Skills
  • Motivation

Our program offers camp for children ages 7 to 12.

Orton-Gillingham:

Camp Delafield utilizes the Orton-Gillingham approach to tutoring: clinically proven teaching strategies that build upon each student’s life skills to make life-changing improvements. Each lesson’s success determines the next lesson’s content.
Orton-Gillingham is rooted in decades of neurological, psychological, and educational research kept current through continual refinement. It is proven effective and well-respected in schools and clinics throughout the state of Indiana.
