Depending on the time you have available, you can help DII by volunteering at its Dream Home, train to be a volunteer tutor, assist at Camp Delafield, provide office support – the list is endless. We need you and the children need you.

Volunteers needed for 2008 Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home event!

It is time to mark your calendar for the Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home, October 4th -19th. This year’s home will be located in Hampton Cove at Geist, nearly 10,000 square feet of luxury on the water.

We need volunteers to staff the Dream Home event. Volunteering at the Dream Home is a great deal of fun, especially when you sign up with a group of people you already know--friends, family, church group, coworkers, book club, neighbors.

Each volunteer (or group) is assigned a room or area of this grand home to highlight its features. Each shift is short (3-4 hours) and requires 15-20 hosts/volunteers. The hours available are Sunday-Thursday noon to 6pm, and Friday and Saturday 10am-8pm.

Thanks to the generosity of Emmis Communications and Dream Home participants, the Dream Home annual event has raised nearly a million dollars for the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana, a 501(c)3 organization devoted to teaching dyslexic children and adults to read.
